The Sarasota Blues Festival is a popular annual event, featuring a diverse roster of blues musicians. Past performers include Buddy Guy, Maria Muldaur, Delbert McClinton, and Coco Montoya.

Every April, the Florida Winefest & Auction raises money to fund programs that benefit local disadvantaged children and their families. Over the years, the event has raised more than $6 million for charity.

The annual Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix Festival hosts powerboat racing, with proceeds going toward the construction of facilities that serve physically and mentally challenged individuals.
